I got a Mac. Finally. For the first time ever. It’s better. That is all.

Congratulations, James! Of course, if you ever say anything more about your choice on this or any other blog, you will get several dozen replies from people who call you a “fanboy” who has “drunk the kool-aid.” Small price to pay, of course.
I got my first Mac in the spring of 1985, by the way, so I guess I have drunk two or three oceans of kool-aid in the intervening decades. . . .
Everyone knows Mac is cooler after the new series of t.v. commercials. He’s got that longer, messy hair and waiflike look my teen daughter likes. I like a man who looks like he eats red meat now and then—anyway—my husband owned a series of Macs for his freelance illustration sideline in the late 80’s thru mid-90’s. All the graphic artists I met in those days said they preferred certain programs that only ran on Macs.

I, a loud, proud PC-user, plan to begin harassing James about this immediately. It’s one of my New Year’s resolutions, actually.
