anticipation
A recent meeting of the local planning and zoning board has made it almost certain that, in the near future, a Starbucks will be built approximately two hundred feet from my front door. Perhaps I should be ambivalent about this, but I am not. In fact, I fairly quiver with anticipation.
Also: anybody want to buy a used coffeemaker?
The good news for you is that if Starbucks opens in your neighborhood, odds are that a good coffee shop will open nearby soon.

Ah, Starbucks.
Like most successfule American institutions, it proves its success by the sheer numbers of pretentious types who frown on its product merely to show they’re not like everyone else.
Good coffee (no, not burned espresso served by pierced ambisexuals listening to shrill folk songs). Just something I can count on in every city I visit to be nearby, of good quality and doesnt require that I have a list of Socialist poets memorized to order a latte.
