Are Ye Not As Children Of The Ethiopians Unto Me?

I remember visiting Capers Funnye’s shul in Chicago when I was living there in the summer before my senior year of college. It sounds from this article like his congregation has moved to better digs since then. So someone’s got some good news, anyhow.

Once upon a time, I sketched out a novel with a character very vaguely inspired by Rabbi Funnye as a principal character. Never actually wrote the thing, though. Gotta do that one of these days.

Wouldn’t mind visiting his shul again, either.
