how do you handle a hungry man?
I’ve just learned that at the Google cafeteria (presumably at their Mountain View headquarters) you can get something called a Luther Burger: a bacon cheesesburger with two Krispy Kreme doughnuts serving as the bun.

I think the Luther Burger really arrived, from a media point of view, when the Gateway Grizzlies (a minor-league baseball team) served ‘em up.
And they’ve been on the Boondocks!

You know, it never occurred to me to google the Luther Burger. I am shamed.

You know, now that I come to think of it, there’s some consolation in this. As a guy born and raised in Alabama, I am used to having an intimate knowledge of virtually every disgusting and/or deadly variety of food. That the Luther Burger escaped my attention all this time bodes well . . . for my arteries, anyway.

I have no objections to the Luther Burger’s health hazards. It’s no worse than cheesecake, and you actually get some protein along the way. I just think the burger sounds disgusting. Right up there with McGriddles and any other awful combination of sweet and salty (except ham, of-course, which is delicious served with pineapple/coke/brown sugar).

There’s an In-N-Out that shares a parking lot with a Krispy Kreme off Rengstorff in Mountain View, and in college we would make “Extreme Double-Doubles” by subbing the buns for glazed donuts.
I hadn’t heard of adding bacon, but that’s a genius touch.

Oh man, the McGriddle is the most perfect form of breakfast food anywhere.
