Did you have Passover Coke? That’s the best.

Sounds yummy (I’ve run out of decent recipes and am relying on omelettes and matza brei until Thursday evening).
Can I have the recipes for the whitefish cakes and the potatoes?

Raeefa: sorry for not getting to this earlier; hope the rest of the holiday went well.
Per request:
Potatoes in Turmeric with Garlic and Olives:
3 lbs small new potatoes or Yukon gold potatoes chopped into large chunks
Salted water
1/2 tsp turmeric
8 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup sliced black or oil-cured olives
Olive oil
Fresh ground black pepper
Cilantro, chopped
Simmer potatoes in salted water with turmeric until just under done. Drain potatoes. Toss with garlic, olives, oil and pepper until well-mixed. Bake at 375 degrees until potatoes are well-cooked through, at least 30 minutes. Serve sprinkled with chopped cilantro.
Whitefish Cakes:
2 pounds coarsely ground whitefish (have the fishmonger grind, or, if grinding yourself using a food processor, pulse briefly; you do not want to wind up with fish puree)
4 scallions, finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
1 tin oil-packed anchovies, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
Matzoh meal
Olive oil
Lemon wedges
Combine all ingredients up to matzoh meal in a bowl until well mixed. Add matzoh meal in 1/4 cup increments until consistency of mix is as desired; generally you’ll need about 1 cup of matzoh meal, but some people like flakier cakes and some like firmer. Chill mix. Form into 3-inch diameter cakes and dredge in matzoh meal. Heat olive oil in a large saute pan and fry cakes until golden brown on both sides. Serve with lemon wedges.
