I dunno, a lot of politicians have these characteristics. Almost of them are ambitious, many of them are paranoid (remember the “VRWC”?), and many of them are incoherent when speaking in a formal setting without a script (Joe Biden, anyone?). Yet very few of them resign from high elected office. So this post doesn’t seem to actually explain anything.
hahaha, you guyz are so screwed.
either the GOP signs on to Platform Sarah or she will just make her own party!
delicious.
wild justice indeed….all these years the GOP has exploited its low information base for its own goals, largely retaining power. Now there is an actual low information exemplar essentially blackmailing the GOP!!!!
hahahaha
awwww…..let me have my fun!
I wuz right!
Look where you are Kenb….either Palin starts a new party and you lose two election cycles, or she runs as a republican and you lose two election cycles.
its delicious!
“Just one more point about Sarah Palin’s op-ed in this morning’s Washington Post: Derek Thompson and others have pointed out to me that the piece does not contain the words pollution, emissions, carbon, or global warming. As Derek says, this is a bit like an op-ed on health care that doesn’t contain the words spending, costs, coverage, or medicine, or a high-school paper on Catcher in the Rye that doesn’t contain the words, um, Catcher in the Rye.
I find this absence sickening. Deciding how to deal with climate change is an uncertain and complicated process. It requires weighing costs in the present against benefits a hundred years in the future. It requires weighing costs in the U.S. against benefits in places like India and Bangladesh. It requires weighing concrete GDP against the moral emphemera of the world’s floral and animal diversity. And it requires sacrificing today to ward off uncertain and unquantifiable future risks. This tremendous empirical uncertainty demands reflection and humility. And then you have Sarah Palin show up, blathering about how we’re “destroying America’s economy” while we’re “literally” sitting on mountains of oil and drill baby drill and blah blah blah. Sickening. “
ooo! ooo! I cant wait for the presser where she tries to answer questions on energy!!

Here’s the 411 Suderman.
Jigsaw.
She is feeling out support for her own party now.
Can the GOP brass lure her back into the tent before it is too late?
lol

I don’t think Palin’s heart is in public policy, to put it kindly. I’m agree with Levi that she’s quitting because she wants to cash in on her fame.
As a co-blogger of mine noted today, we shouldn’t play into her game, and move on to more pressing issues.

Guess who gets her? Texas! We have the unfortunate opportunity to receive her distinct vocal performances on Perry’s campaign trail. God help us.

Man….Jon Stewart is so rocking……

Lately it seems that this blog has come up with a new version of that old swimming pool game — “Palin!”…“matoko!”…“Palin!”…“matoko!”
Or in this case, “Palin!”…“matoko matoko matoko matoko matoko matoko!”
