The Big Picture on Afghanistan
I assume many TAS readers will already be familiar with The Big Picture, a most excellent photoblog by The Boston Globe, updated several times a week with sets of large photographs related to a new item or more general theme. The images are always of top-notch quality, and frequently breathtaking.
However, less devout followers might not be aware that, starting today, they have decided to do a monthly feature on Afghanistan. Each month, The Big Picture will post at least one entry on Afghanistan “as long as necessary.” I think this is long overdue and a very good decision on their part.
The first set is here, and it’s amazing. Go on. Take a look.
By the way, PEG — you saw this weekend’s Fast Lane? Where Tyler Brule plays up the Japanese guy’s accent as “Tyrer” assumes his oh-so-cool stance on “Twitta”?
That’s Brule being his usual asshole self.

Sanjay: You’re right, that column was jarring. I still maintain that Brûlé is a very impressive fellow.
