The Lost Primary

I used to have mixed feelings about Mitt Romney, but that’s all changed now that he’s declared himself a fan of Lost.

Mitt Romney tells TV Guide he is a fan of Lost because it has “a very captivating plot, and if you live a busy life, escape is always welcome.”

I need no further evidence of his intelligence and leadership prowess. Consider that he manages to follow the twists and turns of Lost‘s byzantine plot and run for president, which is more than I can say for myself: I can barely follow Lost and continue to successfully feed and clothe myself, this despite the fact that the show has been off the air for several months.

Romney’s love of Lost is particularly apposite given that some evangelicals consider the Mormon Church a shadowy entity no less mysterious and sinister than the Dharma Initiative.
