For those of you who read comic books in the 1990s, you will likely find this gonzo retrospective I found via Vulture profoundly hilarious.
But really, if you’re going to read a comic book, please read this J. Edgar Hoover-approved look at the Union of Soviet States of America. It’s kind of an earnest early ’60s Red Dawn, but without the triumphant guerrilla warriors.
There are a few things in that Liefield “retrospective” that made me laugh out loud, but this was choice:
“Can you imagine how hard you would elbow your friend if you saw a dude with three ponytails? You would elbow the shit out of them.”

I always loved how Liefeld would hide ankles (being difficult to draw) behind motion lines or strategically placed props and scenery.
