The Frat-Boy Candidate?
Giving his speech in Pennsylvania, Obama, as usual, looks chic in his suit, but as he speaks, three young men are standing behind him, and each have very prominent Abercrombie & Fitch logos displayed on rather rumpled t-shirts. Anything for the youth vote, I suppose.
Update: Via Twitter, Patrick Ruffini points us to a screengrab here.
Update 2: By request, photo posted above.
What was that? As I understand it, the campaign staff are usually pretty careful about who they put behind the candidate. Right? Did someone think it was a good idea to put those three tools up there?
I’m not one for spotting dog whistles, but: A huge white FITCH looming behind him . . .

Those three hotties in the A&F shirts do not help Obama’s image. The A&F crowd – clueless as most of them are – already support him. Are we to assume that A&F endorses Obama ? Who knows.
Unfortunately for Obama, I doubt that being labeled the “Abercrombie and Fitch Candidate” is going to help him in the general election in the swing states. It doesn’t exactly excude an image of strength or make you think of a Commander in Chief.

At Matthew Yglesias’s place, someone pointed out that A&F is headquartered there. No idea if that has any relation.
Is there a different link for a screengrab of this? I missed it and Facebook is giving me an error trying to look at Ruffini’s site.

The picture was from his speech in Evansville, Indiana, NOT Pennsylvania. Still not sure who the three A&F boys are or why anyone would want them in the shot.
