Sounds That Belong Together
Right now, my Recently Added Playlist consists of the new-ish Shy Child album, Elvis Costello’s brilliant Get Happy (on the recommendation of the Weekly Standard‘s Richard Starr), and, thanks to Hua Hsu, Hercules and Love Affair. So I’ve been listening to an interpolated mix of all of the above, which works beautifully. It sort of makes me wish I had the brains and the large collection of vinyl necessary to be a DJ. But I’d only want to DJ for bar mitzvahs, hippie weddings, and old people. That way I wouldn’t be exposed to too much moral turpitude. I have delicate sensibilities.
