He Prowls No Longer

There’s lots of obscure ’90s trivia concerning the Plymouth Prowler (they carved one out of amethyst; one features in the Kiss: Psycho Circus computer game). The Prowler was one of those artifacts of the ’90s that seemed far cooler than it was; times were too good for anyone to criticize the thing. Then 2002 comes along and — boop! No more Prowler. Collectors cherished their prizes.

One such collector, it now transpires, was Uday Hussein, notorious for simply taking cool cars from whoever happened to own them. CNN’s interview with one Louai Al-Ameeri, whose black ’85 Corvette was nearly seized by Uday, is priceless. And here’s some rawer footage:
