Analyzing TAS's Personality Type
Typealyzer reports that The American Scene’s Meyers-Briggs type is INTP, which it explains like this:
The logical and analytical type. They are especialy attuned to difficult creative and intellectual challenges and always look for something more complex to dig into. They are great at finding subtle connections between things and imagine far-reaching implications.
They enjoy working with complex things using a lot of concepts and imaginative models of reality. Since they are not very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people, they might come across as arrogant, impatient and insensitive to people that need some time to understand what they are talking about.
I’m not sure what method the program uses to analyze the material, but this seems about right. For the record, I’m an INTJ, although I’m a somewhat rare case in that I don’t do all that well with math.
I always wondered why I like this blog so much. Now I know – it’s really just like me!

Daniel Larison’s blog and mine have the same personality type.

Anybody who has worked even in the margins of corporate America has done M-B more than once. It’s all good fun.
My favorite story about this is that I was once in a car with a total of four people (counting me) that worked together and had just taken this test. The thrid letter is T – F (Thinking – Feeling Scale), which means about what it says. IIRC, you get scored on a 30-point scale (15=F, -15=T, or something like that). Beteween the four of us, we had 3 F points.

That is awesome… I wonder what it means if my blog doesn’t match my personality type at all (or at least on two letters)… is this Dr. Jecklel and Mr. Hyde all over again?
