Suderman Elsewhere
I’ve got a web piece up at Newsweek looking at conflicts between Republicans and business interests.
Earlier this month, I had an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal examining problems with health-care reforms at the state level.
And of course, I’m still writing just about every day at Reason.
It is a terribly unfortunate and dangerous tradition that big government and big business have been cooperating and “colluding” and “price fixing” for a very long time. More and more conservatives are decrying the too cozy relationship between corporations and the feds. Of course, liberals have railed against big corporations for years. That’s good. Unfortunately, their absolutely stupid solution is to trust an even bigger entity: the federal government, which is certainly just as corrupt as any conglomerate, but infinitely more wasteful.
I don’t know what the solution is, but conservatives find themselves fighting against liberals who want bigger government, while at the same time strengthening the position of corporations and cementing the relationship between corporations and the feds.
Obama and his crowd make the whole thing worse.
