"Frum Forum"
It sounds like an Orthodox Jewish bulletin board, but it’s actually David Frum’s rebranded blog. Too bad Frum Youth and Frum Teens are already taken; there’s nowhere for the next generation of “Frum conservatives” to go. But maybe giving up on New Majority means he’s not quite sure there will be a next generation.
I was rather frightened to click on Frum Teens.

He can change the name, and that’s wise since his ideas will never create a new majority, but the same old bitter whining will remain. Frum is one of the weakest political thinkers in D.C.

I wish Frum luck, but he seems to be very confused. And his ideas for reform of the GOP seem to be compassionate conservativism redux. It worked so well the first time! All big government stuff. He argues for reform of the party while seeming to enjoy attacking those who actually wanting to change the party. I have a lot of issues with Rushbo and Mark L, but Frum’s line of attack doesn’t work for me. Conor makes far better points about them. And when Hugh Hewitt makes you look like a weasel, you’ve got issues.

“Newminority.com” may be free.
And I think that before clicking Publish, Conor says to himself, “What will Andrew think about this?”

Funny you should mention Conor, since, you know, Steven actually was the one who published this.
And I’m aghast that I never connected Mike with the mfarmer on new majority. How foolhardy of me.

Constant squabbling among factions has always been the norm among Democrats, so I should be used to it. But gee is it fun to watch now that Republicans do it 24/7.

Geoff, I mention Conor because I think he’s one of the “Frum conservatives” that Steven was talking about. I’d guess JC39 was doing the same but minus my anti-Conorness.
And for the new website name I was going to suggest a more neutral Fruminations.com but that was already taken. I think newminority.com is a much better for his co-writers than any Frum-based name.
I think that Frum et al are not really big tenters—they will never be comfortable with a party that is excited about Bob McDonnell. They’ll say that Bob McDonnell ran away from his thesis, but he is undeniably conservative, not a libertarian, not a squish.

Yes, same Farmer. I try my best to help Frum and associates, but I’ve failed. I would have called it — Frum Here To Minority (you know, a play on From Here to Eternity? Oh, forget it.)
