Murder, though it have no tongue, will speak with the most miraculous organ
Video game journalism makes me chuckle:
We’re told that God of War III will delve into Kratos’ thinking and expand upon his character. Sony Santa Monica is aiming to give good reason for what Kratos is doing and has done in the past, rather than just having him be presented as a mindless killing machine.
And you know what? I’ll probably buy it.
Deep down inside him, there is good.

This is what I don’t get. Why cant’t he just be a mindless killing machine? Does a cutscene where he angsts over something really improve the gameplay?

I soured on the first game when it gave me a puzzle where I had to commit human sacrifice, against a random and clearly unwilling Greek warrior no less.
That’s not really what I’m looking for in a game. That said I’m not really excited about getting into his mind either. Probably just not the series for me.
