Cover Your Ears
Lovers of snark, pop, and indie rock, ie: most regular consumers of blogs, will want to check out Pitchfork’s delightfully cruel list of The 20 Worst Album Covers of 2007.
And since we’re talking about music, I just want to ask why no one alerted me to the awesomeness of Animal Collective’s spring 2007 record, Strawberry Jam, until recently. It is, I’m pretty confident in saying, the year’s most excellent weird indie rock record (yes, even better than Panda Bear’s Person Pitch), yet somehow I managed to go until about a week ago without having heard it at all. Naturally, I blame everyone else. Don’t fail me again.
