Looking Back at Jason - and Away From Clive Owen

I didn’t see this week’s remake of Friday the 13th (I left that to Sonny Bunch), but I did take the time to write a short piece looking back at the legacy of the original and its exploitation of a particular type of adolescent fear. I also managed to catch a screening of the new Clive Owen financial thriller, The International, a movie so deaf to reality it might be a parody if it weren’t so dour. My advice is to stay home from the movies this week and read a couple issues of Ex-Machina.
