The Best Song You Will Hear All Day

I feel as though I’m living in a personal musical golden age — a lot of excellent albums are trickling out, thus suggesting that musical excellence is countercyclical. But the song I want to share with you is a brilliant pastiche from two brothers, Michael Gregory and Andrew Rose Gregory. I found the video via my brilliant friend Aminatou’s Twitter feed, and I think this discovery alone justifies microblogging.

The interview between non-auto-tuning Sean Hannity and the auto-tuning tie-wearing angry gorilla is my favorite moment. Really, though, the video is flawless from beginning to end.

AG: I’m an angry gorilla. I heard you needed me (ooh ooh ah ah)
SH: Now that Captain Phillips has been successfully rescued
The president has decided to step in front of the spotlight
AG: Ooh, I’m angry! You can’t see it, but my forehead’s veiny
SH: And even take some credit for the rescue
AG: Well, don’t you worry, baby boo
You’ll always have an angry gorilla to be angry with you
That’s what I do. Just ask Donkey Kong. He’s in my crew
